Soumitro Ghosh, a graduate of CEPT, Ahmedabad, is a partner at Mathew & Ghosh Architects. His firm has designed and executed some of the most significant public spaces and design projects, along with many acclaimed private projects in Bangalore. Their work has received extensive recognition through numerous awards and publications, leading them to be invited to speak at various public, private, and institutional forums both in India and abroad.
The firm has garnered prestigious awards, including the Architectural Design India Award of Excellence (2025) and the International Design Awards (2021), among others.
Their work has been published by notable publishers, including *The Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary World Architecture* (Phaidon, London), and exhibited at renowned forums such as the Venice Architecture Biennale and “What Makes India Urban” in Amsterdam.
Soumitro Ghosh has taught at the Bengal Institute of Architecture, Landscapes, and Settlements in Dhaka and has presented alongside Patrik Schumacher at the “361 Degrees” event in Mumbai. He has also lectured at several universities both in India and internationally.
His public works in Bangalore include Freedom Park, the transformation of the Old Central Jail into an Urban Park of Possibilities spanning 16 acres, the National Martyrs Memorial, the Max Mueller Bhavan (Goethe Institute), to name a few. He also designed the largest microbrewery in Asia in 2018, and the Museum of Art & Photography in Bangalore is their first museum building.
Soumitro has served as the Charles Correa Design Chair in 2018 and is currently the Academic Council Chairperson at the Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture in Mumbai.
Rohan Shivkumar

Rohan Shivkumar is a Mumbai-based architect, urban designer, filmmaker, and Director of the SKLT College of Architecture. He is also a principal at Collaborative Design Studio, a research and urban practice. His work spans architecture, urbanism, visual arts, and film through design studios, publications, exhibitions, and public engagement.
His interests focus on space, image, representation, and performativity. Key projects include Project Cinema City, research on Dr. Ambedkar and the city, and The Forest in the City on communities in Mumbai’s National Park. His films include Nostalgia for the Future, Squeeze Lime in Your Eye, and Lovely Villa and several curatorial projects.
Rohan’s work has been featured at the Chicago Architecture Biennale, Sharjah Architecture Triennale, Seoul Architecture Biennale, World Social Forum, Dhaka Art Fair, and Documenta.
shilesh hariharan

Shilesh Hariharan is an architect and urban systems specialist with 14+ years of experience at the intersection of water management, urban design, and climate resilience.
After his UG from MGR College, Chennai, he has done his Master’s from the TU-Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. He has worked with Ooze Architects & Urbanists, Rotterdam, focusing on sustainable closed-loop systems and their integration as a part of the built and urban environment before establishing Madras Terrace Architects in Chennai.
He has a proven track record in delivering interdisciplinary, policy-linked projects in collaboration with government agencies, multilateral organisations, and research institutions. With expertise in nature-based solutions and decentralised water systems, and the ability to translate technical design into scalable, funding-aligned urban strategies.
He is also a core member of the Shelter Advisory Committee (SAC) for GCC, responsible for the creation of the Standard Operating Protocol and the Annual Social Auditing process for the Homeless Shelters program in Chennai, for the past 13 years.
He has been a part of many urban studies and projects related to urbanisation & migration, the design of pedestrian pathways in Anna Nagar and studies related to informal settlements in Chennai in relation to accessibility to public infrastructure, re-settlement in housing, integration of RAY (Rajiv Awas Yojana) program, to name a few.
